What the module does
- Overview of requests for the selected year, with a filter by status (and a search by type, note or date):
- awaiting approval (orange) - the request can still be removed,
- approved (green),
- rejected (red).
- New request with fields based on the Time Off type - date from–to, a single date, or date and time from–to. Each Time Off type says up front what it will ask for.
- Note for the payroll accountant - optional, of limited length; the form shows how many characters you have written.
- Company rules listed right next to the form - longest continuous leave, gap from previous leave and the latest possible date.
- Request check before you submit - as soon as you fill in the Time Off type and the period, the request is verified against the ERP system and the form tells you whether it is fine or what stands in its way; it also totals the hours and working days.
- Free slots in the leave calendar - for the entered period you see how many slots each day still has. For longer periods the occupancy is not shown and the form says so.
- Only a request with the awaiting approval status can be removed; a submitted request cannot be edited.
- Warning when leaving a drafted (unsaved) request.
Requests are approved by the payroll accountant in the ERP system - you will learn the outcome from the change in the request’s status. Holiday, however, can be approved automatically when the calendar has free capacity. Such a Time Off type carries an “Approved automatically” badge already when you pick it, and after submitting you are told right away that the request was approved automatically.
Carrier settings
What you see in the summary is set by your carrier. The rules for individual Time Off types and the automatic approval of holiday are entered in the ERP system and apply regardless of this option.
- Show remaining leave (web only) - the holiday balance and entitlement in the summary and in the request form. Switched on by default; when switched off you see only your own requests and the ERP system’s checks still apply. EDISONKA does not show the balance - on the phone you deal with when your time off is, not with the tally.
