EDISONKA is a company portal
EDISONKA is the transport company’s portal for its people at edisonka.m-line.cz - open it in a browser on your computer, nothing gets installed.
- It is the main place where everything is handled and configured: who can sign in, what each person sees, how each module behaves - and the content itself, that is news, documents, feedback and surveys.
- The portal keeps its own accounts and permissions. It takes the list of employees from the company’s ERP system, but what they get to see is decided here.
- Drivers, dispatchers, HR staff and managers each see their own part - and on a large screen they also get overviews, filters, protocols and exports that would never fit on a phone.
EDISONKA on the phone
The portal comes with the EDISONKA mobile app - for drivers and for anyone who spends the day out in operations.
- Available for Apple and Android in the official App Store and Google Play stores.
- Works online directly with the portal - no rewriting, no synchronisation.
- Speaks Czech, Slovak and English - you can switch the language in the app’s settings (this guide is available in all three too). We will add further languages as demand arises.
- Usable on tablets as well (iPad and Android tablets) - content is shown in a centred column so it stays easy to read, and the dashboard fits more tiles per row.
How the portal and the phone relate to each other
The phone is the second face of the same portal, not a separate app with its own data:
- They share sign-in, permissions and data - what you do on the phone shows up on the web straight away, and the other way round.
- Everything is configured in the portal. Nothing company-wide is set on the phone; it only has personal choices such as the theme or the language.
- The modules are the same, but the phone only offers what makes sense out in operations. Drafting a survey, evaluating it, printing an inspection protocol or e-mailing it to the carrier is work for the web; filling in a trip log in the vehicle or photographing damage is work for the phone.
- For each module in this guide you will therefore find EDISONKA web / EDISONKA tags that tell you where to find it.
Where the data comes from
The portal does not keep everything itself - some data is read from the operator’s ERP system (today M-line EDISON, others are planned):
- From the ERP system come the employees and their sign-in e-mails, the depots, cost centres and categories, vehicle positions and services for Dispatching, stop passings, the AD and MHD transport plan, the duties offered in the exchange, Time Off requests, payslips and payroll documents, document validity, operational reports, maintenance requests and damage events.
- The portal itself keeps accounts and permissions, module settings, news, documents, feedback, surveys, carrier inspections and your personal dashboard.
Modules that work with data from the ERP system need an up-to-date version of it. The app will alert you automatically if the versions do not match.
