What the module can do
- Display the offer of vacant shifts for a selected period.
- A Range switch - Whole period or Single day. Depending on the choice, the field beside it offers a month or a specific date.
- A Workplace filter - MHD only; in bus transport the offer always comes from a single workplace.
- Search within the offer (duty roster, pick-up place).
- Reserving an unfilled shift; the final assignment is approved by the dispatcher.
- Cancelling your own reservation - possible only until the dispatcher assigns the shift to someone. After that the shift is no longer in the offer and the app tells you so when you try to cancel.
- A reservation can also be rejected by the ERP system - for instance when the shift clashes with another of your own shifts. The reason is shown in the message.
Range, workplace and search are available on the web. In EDISONKA you only choose the month.
Carrier settings
Which shifts you see in the exchange depends on what the transport plan offers and on your carrier’s settings.
- Shift competition - when switched on, you also see in the exchange the shifts other drivers have already shown interest in, and you can apply as well; the reservation button shows the number of interested drivers and the final selection is made by the dispatcher. It is switched on by default; with competition switched off you see only vacant shifts and shifts with your own reservation, and the shift goes to the first driver who applies.
Differences from the AD Shift Exchange
- An MHD shift card cannot be expanded - MHD has neither a shift detail nor a service progress view.
- The card’s content can be copied to the clipboard: on the web with the Copy button in the toolbar, in EDISONKA by long-pressing the card.
- It also has a Workplace filter, which the AD exchange does not.
